The total number of active drilling rigs for oil and gas in the United States fell again this week, according to new data that Baker Hughes published on Friday, after falling in the week prior. The total rig count fell by a single rig for the second week in a row, landing at 583 total rigs, according to Baker Hughes, down by nearly 7% from this same time last year.
